With a proud legacy of 37 years, Jyoti Vidyapith, Teok, stands as a premier institution dedicated to quality education and national responsibility. Established on March 13, 1987, the school was founded with the vision of strengthening mother-tongue-based education while nurturing students into well-rounded individuals. Over the years, it has remained committed to Assamese language and culture, alongside academic excellence.
Later, the institution was renamed Golap Chandra Mishra Memorial Educational Center - Jyoti Vidyapith, and since then, it has been efficiently managed by the founding committee, leveraging its rich 37-year experience. Today, the school welcomes a new generation of students and knowledge-seeking guardians, continuing its mission to serve both society and the nation.

The primary goal of education is to awaken the latent talents of every child and adolescent and to facilitate the full development of their personalities. One of our main objectives is to help students excel in both Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas within the current education system. This is what is known as Holistic Development. Moreover, education plays a major role in the development of human civilization through human resource development. At a time when the progress of education was advancing human society, Jyoti Vidyapith, Teok, was established in 1987 in the heart of Teok as a result of the noble thoughts and deeds of a few human-builders. Thousands of students have brightened their lives with the light of education from this school. Since its inception, Jyoti Vidyapith has kept the undying lamp of human resource development lit. We are happy to inform you that Jyoti Vidyapith has been able to earn a good reputation within the district and the country. We are pleased to inform you that, for the purpose of expanding higher education, 'Class XI' has been added to Jyoti Vidyapith from the year 2021. Since its establishment, this school has been providing well-planned education from Pre-Nursery to Class X with modern and scientific methods. The personality development and beauty of the lives of the students are being shaped by the strong leadership of the management committee and the sincere work of the teachers and staff.
